Maybe I need her to coach me 'out' of my bad habits :D But then again there is the bad eyes, carpal tunnel, old farts problems that no amount of coaching can help. The only thing left is what you taught me Commander... be happy and get more "BLING' :D

Absolutely...If you can't shoot good, look good, I always say....Mallory's been on the spotting scope for me since the high power nationals at Ridgeway last year....I've wanted her to see that aspect of the game in order for her to better understand what happens to her bullet when she squeezes the trigger...She can't give me a true wind value, but is beginning to pick up mirage shifts and wind switches pretty well...and one thing she's done from the get go is to repeat to me that "mantra" I mentioned in the earlier post...It's caused me to focus on shot sequence and not "settling" for a bad shot and my scores have picked up as a result...Maybe I should rent her out at the matches...pay for some of our traveling expenses..

Commander Kitty,
There is no better learrning tool than teaching it. Go Mallory, she will do well.

This is so very true. When I was in college I would come home and try to teach my wife what I had just learned to try and get it into my own head and the technique worked quite well. Poor wife didn't learn a thing but she sure pretended like she was interested and understood Fluid Dynamics and Descriptive Geometry etc.

Commander Kitty,
Put Mallory on the line next to Coates or myself while we are spotting, we can work the details of wind and mirage in her head.

Dee...come on with the geometry, always willing to try to learn in a different way.

No way! When she isn't shooting, spotting for you or resting she's working for me!

BB...now how can you get a really good spotter if you will not let her learn from some of the best. Don't forget who Rachel Reningers coach is...and the records of hers that Elisabeth Steiger broke at Winny. Rachel is claiming that she will come out of retirement after she graduates in December...her brother and I are betting that she will go on for her masters.

Easy Mary! Since I can't make all the matches she'll get plenty of time with y'all, but she does need a steadying influence too! :-B

BB, don't forget I was a teenager once too. I can be steady at times, when required.

Remember that I was stationed in southern Georgia about that time, and Marines are known to chat.

BB...I grew up way south of South Georgia and North FLorida, despite having worked for an agency that was based in N FL, I was well past my teen years by then. And besides, correct me if I'm wrong Gator but somehow I don't think Paul was a jarhead.
