Bore cleaning preference?

Just wondering what the general preference for bore cleaning is.

1. Muzzle guide with stainless or nylon coated rod.
2. Bore guide with stainless or nylon coated rod.
3. Bore snake from the breech end.

I'm leaning towards the bore snake thinking that there is no way a soft cloth thing is ever going to harm the bore or crown of my CZ 452 American. I usually run it through a couple of times after every range session using Hoppe's #9.

No rods, use a Patch worm.

Or better yet, don't bother cleaning it all. Just ask Hambone.

Depending on the rifle I use both #2 & 3 but with a coated rod only for #2

My 1712 shipped from EMcD with a custom cleaning kit: one perfectly sized length of heavy duty weed whacker line with a knot in one end and a sharp beveled cut on the other for piercing patches.

Bore guide and rod..semi autos get the bore snake.

2 pull-throughs with the bore snake from breech to muzzle afer every 300-400 rounds works for me...

Pull through wet patches until clean, then a dry, then one more wet every time I shoot. Wipe down the outside and the bolt face, put it up wet, then dry patch before shooting again.

haven't cleaned it in about 1800 rounds. Still shoots better than most. One hole at 50.

That cuts down on the cleaning - wouldn't want to wear the bore out.

Bore guide, rod, and jag from the breech for me, never letting the jag or rod ride against the crown. I'm a little wary of weedeater line pull-throughs, and even Boresnakes for that matter, in my match rifles because it's almost impossible to pull them in such a way that the cord doesn't touch the crown. The much greater cleaning surface area of a brushless Boresnake, and therefore much few passes required, makes me use one of those on my rifles that can't be accessed by a rod and bore guide from the breech.

I clean my Marlin 39a lever action after each session or after 115 rounds 2 times a week with this preference:

1. Soak patch with Shooters Choice on Weedeater line, pull through breech/chamber end to remove loose powder.
2. Wet brush on "Knockout" snake and pull through 5 times.
3. Pull 3 individual wet patches through to remove residue and allow solvent to so soak 10-15 minutes.
4. Then I pull 3 dry patches. Sometimes 5, if required. I then follow-up with 2 passes of "Knockout's" brushless snake.
I use my bore light as last check.
I have 3, "Knockout" bore snakes as always assured will have one that is always clean. I have learned I maintain consistent accuracy at 77 and especially at 100m with my Marlin 39a. using above cleaning intervals. I use Hoppes Bore Snake[dry], at the range if I go over 115 rounds at practice times.. Then go home to perform above procedure right away. Expensive waxed lubricated ammo has not been tried in my rifle as yet for possible improved accuracy and possible less cleaning.

what the" F " is cleaning? I havent cleaned my smallbore guns in two seasons and im getting halfdollar sized groups at 100 meters. OK OK OK I have cleaned the bolt face and the breech area but have not run anything down the barrel. Just get the muck off the bolt face and extractors and you'll be fine.

Lots of ways, aren't there? To minimize any risk of handling damage I don't clean during a match, but normally I can't bring myself to put equipment away dirty.

Clean a RF? one pull with a bore snake once per season.
