New TX200

Post by jdp »

I have been needing a way to practice. To either sharpen up my skills or help create skills that I am lacking. ( I think the latter) My son Jason got me something to practice with, put a scope on it, sighted it in, gave me the 5 point lesson, and sent me home. His comment was have at it. This Air Rifle is unbelievable. It actually equals or betters the quality of my 1712. Those of you that know Jason know what a great person he is, well he showed it again and took care of the old man. I am going to try and put some pictures on of it. It sure is a great looking rifle. When I got home I shot it a little then shot 2 five shot groups. The first was great for me the second shows that maybe I can shoot after all. I know it's really all in the equipment, or maybe just having a great son.
Thanks again Jason

John...it takes some great parents to raise a son like Jason.

Good pictures, Dad.

Bring it back down tomorrow and I will help you get all your scope settings.

The good thing about it. He's going to let me carry it and shoot it at matches. :D

Careful John... it's a plot to beat you. With all that pumping you'll be doing, compared to his PCP, he's planning tiring you out sooner ;)

Wow a Sanchez Vest and then a TX200! I don't guess Jason will be put up for adoption anytime soon will he. :))

Enjoy your new toy they are very nice and shoot great. I love mine!

Here are some 5 shot groups using my 8002 with the bottom right being my best to date at .142" c-t-c. 12 yards inside the house. I shot these over the course of the evening with about 20-30 minutes between each group in a attempt to try and work on being able to walk up and start shooting without any warmup as is so common with the bigger matches with time between relays. Having to take 2-3 shots to get back into the groove really messes up your score.
