Texas Nationals

Post by psteiger »

Howdy Airgunners!

It’s that time again. Soon the weather will be cooling down, and what does that mean? It’s time for the second annual Texas Nationals in Houston, Texas. That right, pardner, Bayou Rifles has graciously allowed us to hold the second annual Texas Nationals on their premier Smallbore Silhouette range. Grab your air rifles and your 22’s cuz Sunday is our regularly scheduled Smallbore Silhouette match. Don’t have an airgun? I’ve got a couple to loan on a first ask basis. (both right and Left handed!!!!) Gonna be a great weekend, with a catered lunch on Saturday, pick of the litter prize table and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Ok, no Cheerleaders, but the first 2 are true. Saturday, September 18th for the Air rifles, Sunday for the 22’s. Friday will be an informal practice, from 2:00pm till sunset. Range opens up 7:30am Saturday for practice and first match at 9:00am sharp. Email me or call me for an entry form!!!!!

See ya there

Pat runs a good match, and the range is great.
The condition you see is the condition you get, nice clean air, unlike the baffled range I normally shoot at.
Uh, bring warm weather gear. It's Houston, and it's September.
I think he just wants more cannon fodder for Elizabeth to beat up on, though.

That's very nice of you to say, but I think Motl, Zander, Engle, Guinta Jr and Theresa Evehreart might have something to say about it. Bruce Finley is just around the corner. I'm sure I'm missing a few. It will be a good match. then there's Mary.........

I'm totally Innocent..and been out of technology for almost two weeks, even very minimal cell connection except for one day in West Texas, mostly in the pre op room.

Somebody talk me into going to this Texas State Air Match even though I am covered up in work. I hear Houston has terrible traffic problems and I am East of Houston.

Who is going to this one? The Arroyo group from El Paso? The Baton Rouge(Dee, Jerry and Jeaux)group? Jason with the new Walther? Innocent and Coates? How about a roll call of those planning to go?

The Steigers put on a Super Match but it is hard to pull away from all the projects I have going on.

Hi Bobby,

I've never seen an El Paso guy at an air rifle match in Texas. Most of the entries are locals, a few Dallas guys and some Beaumont people. I'd agree, the traffic in Houston is terrible, especially when you compare it to where you live. Luckily we shoot early enough to miss it and we're not on the way to the beach. I'm still waiting for a response from the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. I tried the Texan's Cheerleaders, but they heard Larry Engle would be there, and quickly declined. I'm hoping Larry's rep doesn't extend to the Metroplex. (I really have a friend who flies the owner of the Texans around....and they really couldn't come....Scary, eh?)

William Z and Theresa will be a no-show. I'm told they have something else going on. It's tough to make all the matches. I know there are a bunch I'd like to go to, preferably without a chaperone, but there are only so many days I can escape. Not to mention costs. We tried to make it a good match with the sunday 22 match also. I have loaners available if you decide at the last minute. Some of them are even wrong handed (righty).

Mary, we're looking foward to seeing you and Jason. The kids are bummed Coates isn't coming.

Hi power this weekend at Greenwood!!!!!

For those that missed it, Pat, Lori and children put together a great match with the help of a lot of the Houston crew. The food was worth the trip all by itself, not to mention the new underwear that Pat provided me with and the head gear for Greg. Thanks Buddy!!! LOL
