Unless you are buying it locally or do not want to buy a whole case $259 shipping included is a better deal.

Mine was $2.50 or $2.40 with free shipping over $100, best deal I could find.

I'd like to expand on this by asking, "is this the CCI made stuff or the Federal made ammo?"

Ok, I'm comparing apples to oranges now. $2.40 per 50rounds when you buy 500rounds or more or $5.00 for 100rounds. Apologize for not being clear.

Guys, thank you for your advice.

How about shooting in a wind. Would slower ammo require more correction?

Hey! I got it! CZ 453 varmint! What a nice rifle.

Had a "little" scare when started cleaning it for the first time. Rust. It was ugly. Few sets of Krol with brush did not at all. Butch Bore neither. It was obvious something better was required. I did not have any abrasive pastes on hands. Situation was aggravated by the fact that my cleaning rod I use to clean my .223 rifle did not go through. (What cleaning rods do you, use for your rifles?) So I was stuck with this otis cleaning kit. Nice thing to clean in field condition but not very convenient to use in situation I had at hands. I glad I had some Montana copper cream in my box. It is mildly abrasive. I was wrapping patch over the nylon brash then applying this cream on top. It worked. After probably 15 or 20 sets of it I had clean bore. I should say I was worried on how it's going to shoot.

Y'day took her to the range. Shot some different ammo. Let me see if I can attach the target...

Corresponding groups:
I : Federal champion 40gr, lead
II : CCI 40gr 1070fps, lead
III : Blaser 40gr 1235fps, lead
IV : CCI MiniMag 36gr 1269fps, copper
V : Rmington brass plated high velocity
VI : CCI 40gr 1070fps lead again

Not bad for a rifle out of the box. Will practice for a few weeks and probably try to get in to my first match.

I shot a lot of smallbore Silhouette years ago. Anschutz 64 for S/Rifle and Kimber 82 for H/Rifle set up under the old 7 1/2 lb rule, both with 6.5/20 Leopolds. Now am SB Match director at our club, shoot the match casually with the Light Kimber. It's a good rifle, nice 3 # trigger and fits me, little light though considering the newer weight rule, Ram line it suffers due to the barrel.

Looking at a lot of rifles go through our match don't see anything better than the CZ's unless you go to the Anschutz. I like the new Kimbers and Coopers but don't think they are in the same class as the Anschutz, and the CZ is way better than any of the lower priced guns.

My opinion only.

Just won A class with my CZ at the Sunshine State Classic in Jville. There is no doubt in my mind that one can compete with such rifle. :-bd
