I'll have to check and see if his restrainng order has expired... Huey, the Conard Cup is in the great state of Washington, about as far from us as you can get. Everyone shoots Master scores there.

Huey...you would have to wear long pants...they have wood stoves in the range building, for a reason. And BTW there is no place to learn like attending a match full of master shooters, and while the largest class there is master, it is not the only class. You guys should come, it is a blast. Rooming with Byron is something everyone should have to do eventually....but with his son, I'm not sure about that.

Re: Need some ideas...
CZ - You may want to consider adding a half pound of weight to the forearm and a half pound under the buttpad. I did this and found the balance of the rifle was maintained.
I used a 5/8" forstner bit for the holes. Set your drill press so that the bit does not go through the bottom of the forearm and drill overlapping holes the length of the forearm. I used #8 shot with medium CA glue. Layer in the shot, add the CA then use an accelerator to "kick" the set. Repeat until the holes are filled. By doing this, the shot will not rattle around. You should be able to easily get the half pound of weight using this method. Check your weight to judge how much you will need to add under the buttpad.
Using the same bit, drill two holes under the buttpad. They should be about 4" in depth. Use the same method of adding a small amount of lead shot, CA glue then spray the kicker. The shot will rattle if you don't layer it in and glue. This will get you the other half pound.
I think you'll be pleased by adding the weight. My CZ weighs 8lbs. 6ozs. with a boosted Leupold.

Re: Need some ideas...
Intresting... Was your CZ front heavy before you did this. I want to try and find a perfect balance when the gun is being rested right on the the spot between the trigger guard and the magazine. Happens to be the spot where my hand is most comfortable. Thanks for the idea

CZ - no, it wasn't front heavy. The balance point with the additional weight is right at the magazine area.

Re: Need some ideas...
I thought you can try to use lead tape for tennis racquets. It's thin tape made of lead with one sticky one side so you can measure what weight you need and stick it whenever you want it to for your balance. It can go on the stock under the barrel or on the barrel or any place you want...
