Yes Jerry that was true for about the past year. But here in about a month I will be moving to Alaska and cooking again

Hey all, what time does the match and awards usually wrap up on Sunday? There is a chance that I may need to bug out and try to catch a 6:45pm flight out on Sunday night from PDX. I'm thinking that there is no real chance of me making that since I'd have to leave the range at 3pm at the latest and I highly doubt it's done by then. The 6:45pm flight is the last one of the day with Southwest.

Turns out that I have a test on Monday morning and my professor is a real lovely lady that allows for no exceptions and WILL NOT let me take the test early/late. It's not even a final exam. I think that if you are older than your professor that they should let you do what ever the hell you want. On the other hand, she did say that I could write a 4 page research paper for equal amount of extra credit points. So, I can either be there for the test that takes all of 20 minutes or I can spend a freaking week doing research.

Trent, with Lexus Nexis and all the others available, you are fretting over a 4 page research paper? It will take more time to do the references in whatever format she feels is necessary than it will to write a 4 page paper. You can do that on the plane ride, just pull the reference material to a thumb drive and come on. Take your time and fly back with Coates and I going through Denver on the 1300 flight out of PDX.
Turst me you want to be there for the awards, the choice of what you win is based on how you draw your number if you are in the top of your class.

BC, It's called political suicide, unless they talk about walking the campus "weaponized". Actually had a political science prof that did talk about the time he "weaponized" himself and walked three auto burglars into campus police HQ under point of barrel. Never got questioned about it either. But then there were the two public admin profs that actually had other student tell them to lay off of me in class because they knew I was an avid shooter, strange, no matter what I did I never got higher than a B in their classes.

I told her I am going to a wedding. Was hoping to get some compassion in order to get her to make an exception.

I am not thinking about missing the awards. I would never do that. I feel that as a competitor it is unethical to leave without cheering on your fellow competitors. Unless there is some kind of emergency I would never ditch out on the awards.

It looks like I am screwed as far as being able to get a flight out in time to make it to class on Monday so I'll take my lumps and do a research paper. It is complete BS especially since she gives us the test ahead of time so that we can study it. WTF??? There is no reason to not let me take it early or late. It's just a power trip.

Oh the joys of the professor power trips! Hang in there Bud and do the paper. Think about the less time you have to F2F with her by missing the test! The better excuse is work...man you just can't get out of that TDY....

I got it all sorted out! Whew. Talked to her again today and explained that i tried changing flights and such, she is going to let me come to a later class on Monday and take the test. Awesome!! Disaster averted.
