Re: who's project is this????
Pat,
I would think the wood one is your's since the stock is for a lefty. Not saying your the only one out there but I know you purchased a couple. The other is Kevin's for sure. His plan I think is to use one gun but switch barrels if he wants to shoot standard and switch back to another barrel for hunter.
I try and stay away from Evelio's if I can, some how it always ends up costing me. Could tell where you were by the ash tray.

Re: who's project is this????
Sorry Hammy, You're gonna be REAL happy with your present. el cubano aka Fabio, has put a lot of thought into this one, and he says it shoots great. And it isn't even bedded yet. It looks real good too. He always has a couple of neat projects going on. Yes, the wood stock is mine. Trying to learn how to work on wood stocks, the fiberglass ones are real easy, wood takes much care and patience. Also it's an experiment. Stock weighed 3lbs 2 ounces as delivered, checking to see what it will weigh finished. The 54 beech stock weighed 2 lbs 12 oz, w/butt pad and triggerguard. The maple one weighs less. The debate now is ULA, Kimber or Anschutz action for the maple stock.

Pat,
If you decide on the ULA talk with Mark Pharr. There is a problem with the magazine alignment when bedding the stock. Has to be a very tight fit or you have problems. I know the one gun he used to shoot he ended up converting to single shot.
Kevin, Love that high dollard BSA on top of your 2013. You should have sent a scope to Evelio to test with.

Pat, next time you come over to my house, you will have to go thru the metal detector, no cell phones will be allowed. You just ruined Hambone's Christmas surprise.

Thanks Chango, your gun was an inspiration for us to try to drop a 2013 action into a Pharr stock and it looks like Evelio has pulled it off. I will put up complete pix when I get the rifle providing there are no more leaks...

Re: who's project is this????
oh, did you want me to post the rest of the pictures???? LOL. I figured Hambone was such a generous guy, he'd be happy to share his Christmas cheer with all. (I went back and forth whether to post "in progress" pictures) There is a Mexican kid I saw at Winni a few years ago with a left handed 2013 in a McMillian hunter stock. I wish I could remember his name. Gabriel probably knows who it it. I think he was from Saltillo. Cool setup. He even let me shoot it.
If I go with the ULA it will be a single shot. Mark was very generous with his info. I got to see all the issues. I don't know how I'll go. I also considered the Stiller. Or maybe an F27A........That would be really crazy.
I snuck my camera in by putting it in a do-nut box. Fabio never saw it coming. When he went to the store for cigarettes, instead of making the pillars, I snapped pictures of all the projects going on.
Not really. I was busy hiding my screw ups in the bottom of the trash can, and chucking up a new piece of stock.
Happy Thanksgiving! If you're in Houston on Saturday, there is a match at PSC down in Friendswood.

Pat
You already screwed up the surprise, Hammy is kind of pissed at me for letting you on the project, if you want to post the rest of the pictures, you better get his permission. It actually will be completed by Monday.
I don't re-call any left handed kid from Saltillo, maybe Monterrey, or El Paso. What the hell is an F-27A, are we talking airplanes now ???????.
Not planning on going out of town this week end, I may go to the match at PSC, with a 30 shot mag. on my Sig 522 I may be able to hit some targets.
Happy Thanksgivings to all.
Evelio.
