New MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) is $650, and Chicken George is somewhat less if you say pretty please. If you want to move it fast, price it cheap at $525, if you're patient, then ask $600. I'd ask $585, pay shipping, and see how much interest there was.

Re: Leupold FX III 25X40 Used Price ?
Probably good advice but my view. I can purchase the scope new right now from midway for 649.99 and it will be here by wednesday. They have a return policy, and a known source. Sending someone I do not know 600 for the potential of getting a nice scope and save only 50 would not interest me. At 525 and shipping included I could be interested if I was in the market.
Sorry just to be different.

You guys are comparing a discontinued FXIII to a current FX3.

I've used both, practically side by side, and never noticed a difference. Undoubtedly the lens coatings were improved, but the difference was indiscernible to my eye. Of course, if we were haggling price my eyesight might improve...MOTO VITA wrote:You guys are comparing a discontinued FXIII to a current FX3.

Re: Leupold FX-3 25X40
Leupold FX-3 25x40's work fine at 40 meters. Early FX-III 25x40's had trouble with parallax at 40 meters but Leupold heard the howling and got them fixed. That was maybe ten years ago and they've been terrific ever since.teetertotter wrote:The FX-3 25/40, is it good at 40 meters as understand the parallax is 50yds.

Re: Leupold FX III 25X40 Used Price ?
I appreciate the feedback on the FX-3, 25/40, Bc........... I am thinking about the 1/2MOA, being able to really see the dot. My vision is not being fully corrected right now with great imbalance between the two....long story short. I also have glaucoma in both eyes taking drops at this time with doctor watching progress. I am a little ways from surgery as last resort.
I believe my Sightron 6-24X42 SIL has 1/8MOA dot and harder than heck to see these days even in bright sun and especially at 100 meters where the animals are in the shade in our tree lined Silhouette range. With the 1/2MOA maybe it will see the dot much better.
If anyone has the 1/2MOA can you respond if it has to much coverage on the animals? Thanks everyone.

I received a nice reply on Rimfirecentral as to the dot 1/2 MOA size picture at 24X. That was good enough for me!

FX-3 25/40
My CZ452 American with new scope was sighted in last week. The 1/2 min dot is so much better and have new enthusiasm with this scope being brighter too.
I will have my Sightron 6-24X42 SIL model up for sale and is all ready back in original box and put away.
