I would disagree, I see the 18-23 year olds are much more cynical of government, much more libertarian minded. I train new people at my company every spring, the current crop is better than I've seen in years. I don't have an explanation for it but they seem to have a better work ethic than the ones in the previous 4-5 years.

Struggling through this last recession with their parents woke up quite a few youngsters. A lot of folks got the entitlement knocked right out of them.

To be honest with the only golfers I've ever met that fit your description have houses on courses, a small segment of people that golf.

One of the luckiest days of my life was when I had my first set of clubs stolen out of the back of the truck, I never replaced them, I think I was 20.
A year later a half set of 22 silhouette targets caught my eye in a local gun shop, they were 30.00, I bought them thinking they might be fun to shoot with a new 22 pistol I got for my birthday, little did I know what would happen next.......

The local Putt Putt golf place here has balls of many colors; perhaps chasing a blue ball would make the game more interesting?


Personally I prefer playing a good game of pool instead of golf. It is much easier to get a drink at a pool hall.

Kev, that fits about half of all the people here in Casa Grande. Many golf 3 times a week and the lowest green fees I have heard of is about $30 a day.

By the way Dave, I'v had blue ones before. That ain't great.

Good grief! That would buy a couple of nice rifles, plus the ammunition and other gear we always seem to need. With money left to feed Mary's pie habit!

I have also noted that golf participants and spectators understand when they are supposed to keep their mouth shut during a game. I guess I can only wish.....

A friend of mine used to play his own version of golf. He put a bunch of golf balls out on a berm at 600 yards and sent them flying. He was a sniper in my unit. So bring out your old golf balls and put them on the chicken line!

Bonner likes to hang golf balls on a string and we pay a dollar to shoot at them, winner takes the cash. Sounds easier than it is because everyone has offhand zero's and this happens in the pm after the match when the wind is blowing. Even a 200m it's not unusual for everyone to get a second shot because we all missed the first time.
