Acorneau has a new personal best
It was brought up in the congratulatory thread about Ms. Stieger's recent perfect score that Mr. Allen achieved a new personal best score of 29.
Congratulations Mr. Allen!

Re: Acorneau has a new personal best
For a little context...
I usually shoot in the upper teens to low 20's and my best scores to date have been a couple of 26's, one of which was my first AAA score in Hunter rifle.
Needless to say I was happy when I shot a 25 in Standard rifle, but I was ecstatic when I shot a 29 in Hunter rifle. It's good to see some progress in my shooting.

In the land of supersize fast food meals why not give us a lot of context now?acorneau wrote:For a little context...

Re: Acorneau has a new personal best
Allen,
Congrats on you new PB!
Like most of us shooters, you seem to be working on improvement instead of focusing on just winning!
That, I believe, is the true test of the marksman - personal improvement. After that winning will come.
Who was it that said something to the effect of "You know, the harder I work, the luckier I seem to get!"???
Seems to be true for me at least.
Great shooting and keep up the good (hard) work!

Great job Allen. One of the best parts of silhouette shooting is the journey upward through the classes. Enjoy it!

Re: Acorneau has a new personal best
I must admit that I am jealous of Allen
Ok, I said it and I feel better now. I have never shot a 29 on my life. Heck, I am lucky to get double digit scores.
Congrats Allen and good luck in the future.

Re: Acorneau has a new personal best
My last four matches have been four consecutive personal bests and I'm dreading the day that streak ends. I bet Allen feels the pressure!
I am NOT Danny Hatch.

Re: Acorneau has a new personal best
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the accolades from such an esteemed group of marksmen.
Unfortunately, I've now set the bar kind of high for my next personal record.

With a score like that Allen you should come out to next year's Nationals!

I used to spend a week every September near there at Philmont (near Raton) and would love to get out there again.DavidABQ wrote:With a score like that Allen you should come out to next year's Nationals!
Unfortunately between the two days driving up, the two days back, and the days for the match itself it's a fair amount of time off work. Still, I'd like to go and will do what I can to make it happen next year.

Well, if you were Kd5any you would just charter a jet.
