Looking for 260 and 270 loads for my hunting riffle. Thanks
Can the community help me find new loads for both of my Hunting riffles 270 and 260. I would like to use something that has not much bullet drop in distance. Your help is much appreciated. #newtoreloading#Mexico2017huntingseason
Thanks, Hector Delgado.

Bullet - Sierra 142 Gr
Powder - 42.5 gr 4831
Primer - CCI large rifle
Seating depth - not important. Keep bullet off of the lands.
My 5 shot groups are running about 0.75 Minutes
dist MOA
YD drop
200 - 0
250 - 0.5
300 - 1.75
350 - 3.25
400 - 4.75
500 - 8.0 still has 1270 ft lb of energy.

If you are looking for a hunting load then you might want to consider substituting the Sierra 140 SBT Gameking for the 142 MatchKing.

Re: Looking for 260 and 270 loads for my hunting riffle. Thanks
With the 260 i use 44 gtains of IMR 4831 with a 130 Grain bullet and a Fed 210M primer. I have tried Barnes, Berger, Nosler, and Sierra 130 grain and this load has been very good with all of them and hammers a white tail deer. I load them to magazine length in 2 Remingtons and a Tikka and have had zero issues and they shoot 1\2 MOA at 100 meters in all 3 guns if i do my part.
