New 44-40
Have a new toy, a Winchester ‘73 44-40 , Miroku. I’m going work up some black powder loads and was wondering if any use the Lee powder measures for that. The wood on this one is pretty nice. I also like that they did not add that dang tang safety.

Re: New 44-40
Use the same powder measure for everything.
What I've found to work the best in the short rifle, is 35 grains of OE 2f, with the lyman bullet cast from16-1 and sized .430.
I also put a shorter Marbles front sight on so it didn't take so much elevation on the rear sight to make it to 200 meters.
