Twist Rate / Chamber / extractor

I believe I’m settled on an 1885 MVA low wall, perhaps a 1885 Winder or 44 1/2 if a couple bids I have on auctions come through.

For building the rifle up Wyoming Armory, Lee Shaver or the easy button that I can’t seem to clear from my thoughts, C Sharps. (?)

Thoughts or experiences on twist rate? I am leaning towards 1:14 because I can’t see a down side perhaps providing better stability past 100y. (?)

Chambering - I can only go by past experience. Every factory .22 I have owned ignited all brands fine. The Small Bore rifle I had built, according to the Smith, was specifically chambered / head spaced for Lapua ammo. It was 50/50 firing Eley with their thin rims. What should I ask for concerning a chamber? I would prefer not eliminate any top quality ammo by the chamber choice.

If I start with a new MVA action it will have a rimfire extractor. Is that an issue worth insisting it be replaced with a two part extractor during the build?

I can help with one of your questions.
I have a CPA 44 1/2 in 22lr. 1 in 16 twist. The chamber is a match chamber that is to their normal specs. The bullet definitely engages the rifling when chambered. I have only had the rifle a short time. So far I am very happy with it, accurate and dependable. So far no firing or extraction issues with: RWS, Eley, Lapua, SK, Wolf, Aguila or CCI ammo.

In the past C Sharps has been hit or miss on quality control. The last rifle I got from them the barrel was lopped off at about a 10 degree angle, the barrel wasn't timed with the action, and as it came from the box with the windage on the rear sight all thee way over and the front sight drifted as far as it would still hold the dovetail still shot 6 inches off at 25 yards. Took several times sending it back to finally get most of the problems corrected. That was rifle 5 from them ordered brand new, and will likely be the last, as 3 of the 5 never should of left the factory.
Which ever way you decide to go with your rifle build I strongly suggest a 14 twist barrel.

Thank you both for great information. The C Sharps experience got my attention. That sounds like a short list of Uberti issues I have dealt with. I think I’ll just move along elsewhere and avoid that frustration.
As soon as I think I’m set on a direction I find myself happy I didn’t pull the trigger yet. I talked with MVA yesterday and they are looking at 3 months to deliver a 1885 Low Wall then it would need to go somewhere to become a rifle. Looking at part’s easily available it appears life support is strongest for Stevens / CPA 44.5’s and Winchester 1885. The more one searches and research’s it starts to become clear why CPA becomes the wise choice. Looking at the gun racks and carts at Nationals others seem to reach the same conclusion.
I’m starting to move towards getting myself in line at CPA and in the mean time grab a Winder or 44 1/2 , invest in a barrel, try to arrive at a respectable performing rifle and get our first season underway. Or luck into something along the way now that I’m watching the likely locations for a candidate.

I have a cpa as well. The nice thing with those is you can have it fitted either way a centerfire barrel and breech block and be all set for either 22 or bpcr
Don’t over look the Winchester/miroku lowall for a quick way in
Many times they’ll show up at 1000 or less and with its favored ammo is quite competitive. Mine likes Sk and or Eley target . In a moment of weakness I let my son-in-law talk me out of it
