I outscored my wife for the first time this year.

Papabear....Maybe because it is the first time you've let her come out to a match this year, still pouting over Georgia? I noticed that you missed getting her boarding pass for the flight on the first try, it took me getting you to get one for Coates and I before you got hers too.

I'm not giving him squat Bob. That's the match where he beat me by 1 with my own gun. I shoulda paid for that phone to go off a couple more times. 14/15 turkeys with someone elses gun, shooting it for the first time? Unbelievable. Factor in the fact that he'd only shot 2 airgun matches before, incredible. He then got 11 rams. He's providing his own equipment next year.

Gee Paul, that's a little harsh for such a fine young man!

Pat's sending a 50-foot Leupold adapter to improve playtime with the new toy, and then we'll see if I can shoot it half way as well as it deserves!

Am currently sorting out the pics of the match and will post a link to photbucket acount pretty soon.....Here's what stood out...

Great group of kids.......Elizabeth Steiger, Kobly Rasmussen et all are a great group of kids, get behind them out be prepared to say "I finished behind........" No more gracious kids there than Elizabeth Stiger, Kolby Rasmussen, Coates Watkins....just to name a few.....there were NO BAD KIDS there this weekend.....that is the next generation of champions in our sport an you'd better be nice to them......Pat Steiger really needs a Low Jack for his tent..Pat you know I had nothing to do with the moving of the tent cause I won't even set my own up....Did take the pic, which will be posted on "Behind the Berm of the perps but that was the extent of my involvement......Great match, great weather,great prizes, great fellowship...Southern Nationals had it all.........Bill Motl ran a great air rifle event.....I "participated" and it was great...DO NOT underestimate the power of the air rifle....Lingering effect of my hospitalization last fall and just getting older kept me from enjoying a couple of hours a day of the Southern Nationals.........But I had a great time.......You guys got to make this match next year, not only the smallbore, but the air rifle events also......

I understand the hunger for news...So sorry for you guys and gal that didnt' make it to the "Greatest show in Silhouette Shooting".......But us of those who paid to be there and throw their shots downrange and are also expected to keep the rest of the world up to date, well...We be just tired right now...Will fill in the details over the next few days......As for us that pay our way into the Southern Nationals and shoot and spot in the thing......we will post what we have when we rest a bit...Hang tight, stuffs' coming.......

You Ok DuckguNbo? I know a lot of us are kind of tired...man you you should have heard Mongo last night, he sound like he was exhausted.

Must have been the heat of the competition.
