True Grit Shoot was held on the 14 & 15 Feb Bowral NSW

Since no one else has started one I'll kick off .

First thanks to the Bugle & Bear for making it happen.

Saturday was a 120 shot pistol cal match. Some people shot well. I shot shit.

Sunday was a 120 shot rim fire match . Some people shot well. I shot ok with a 23,28,28 to get 4th in A grade. The three pricks that beat me will be going to AA grade. The problem is so will I.

The high light of the weekend shooting was a long run of 21 pigs . These were shot as 10 in the second & 10 in the third 40 shot matches. There was a lot of pressure on the shooter as other Ramslammers kept sledging the shit out of him during the match .

The real problem came during the post match long run when there was no loud talk and the shooter only heard normal voices and lost concentration.

Anyone who was there and didn't have a good time would be hard to please.

Pleased you had a good weekend was that because you didn't have to paint targets Friday night this time.

The pricks that beat you were all fellow Ramslammers that managed to avoid your harpons.

Well in defense of the 21 long run on pigs...mindless bantering (talking) that is not done when needed is putting a handicap on the poor soul that is trying to set records.

Good shooting anyway, and Daisy glad you had fun.

A laurel and hardy handshake must go out to the organisers of the true grit shoot now a week and more past. I for one had an excellent time ,even if it meant wearing out the road between belangalo and sydney, I finally managed to get all that mud off my ute even though it was entertaining telling all the stuffed shirt sydneyites where it came from.
It was also very warming to see my daughter enjoying her 1st major shoot immensely and being welcomed and encouraged by all. She was very gratefull for all the ammunition generously donated, thanks to all.
The NADC Whaling Company was in fine form merrily harpooning all targets of opportunity,Fobis was sporting some nasty looking wounds which i am sure will heal nicely with the passage of time though the payback will be swift and merciless to be sure.
Congratulations to Kim on an outstanding bit of shooting to take out the two gun trophy. All thats left to be said is I cant wait for the next one.
