Hunter Rifles

Post by Jim Beckley »

Sean, There really is no Hunter Class anymore! It is a light standard rifle, Gucci Gun, or whatever you choose to call them, but the folks that aren't making the guns are actually shooting the guns, so who is going to ask for a rule change? Check the date on that rule book.

Hey! We can begin shooting matches from home! Just send our 'bots, connect over the net, and trundle to the line when called over SC!

We have considered shooting fun matches with rules similar to the old NRA Hunter class, maybe even calling for open sights.

Don't know about 2017,
but 2071, given that we are still shooting silhouette could see some fancy electronic gear, and record hits like the 'black hole' targets in smallbore olympics, in the absence of 'real' guns and steel targets.

I've shot a couple matches with aperture and iron sights.

Apperture was difficult, but iron sights and a six o'clock hold was fun.
I even managed 5-in-a-row on turkeys with my Brno Model 1.
If you're on you're on !

But I'm still wondering what rule changes will be next ?

cheers,
'Gondwana' Sean
