Any opinions:
Anyone using a PUMA M-1892 or a EMF Rossi Hartford 1892 in 357 caliber for Cowboy PC. Both companys offer and 24 inch octagon barrel. ppkny

I have the Puma..... Shoots very well. Case harden the sear and hammer, the metal is somewhat soft.
I shoot the .38 spl. case with the 125 grn. Rainer bullet. Having the long barrel helps with the old eye, vision issues.

TXCharlie, The longer sight distance is why I want to change to the longer barrel. I started out in the cowboy game with short barrel guns and found out that you needed the long barrels for more accuracy and yes it sure helps with the older eyes. Anyone else using these guns?

[44 mag]

I have a puma 357.I shoot 125 gn rem bulk bullets with 12 grns of 4227.It shoots and holds great.Thinking of buying a 44 mag in it also.Great gun for the money.

.44 Mag all the way!!! Shot a 40x40 in our monthly approved match sunday. Last month the first time I shot it (out side some sighters) in an approved match, I shot a 39. It's as much fun to shoot as my old 336A.
