6.5x47 108 loads

Hi everyone I'm loading 36grn of 2208 with 108 lapua pills for cpt is there any loads out the for 2209 (H4350)

My 6.5 x 47 isn't done yed so I haven't been able to develop any loads. Why are you shooting two different bullet weights? I plan on using 142's for all animals. The bullets costs and recoil arn't different enough to put up with keeping track of what load you are bringing to the line. I use 2 different loads for my 243 and it is a pain in the ass.

Is that a common thing to do? I would think the heavy bullets on the chickens would whack the hell out of them.

I haven't seen anyone at the highpower matches that I've been to using the same bullets on CPT as they do on rams. I don't mind recoil all that much, but there's not point in taking four times as many hard recoiling shots as necessary. I assume the higher pressure loads might also wear the barrel faster. I have blue boxes for my CPT loads and red for my ram loads. Not that hard to tell apart.

What is the difference in recoil between a 108 gr and a 138 gr load? I'll bet you can't tell the difference when you shoot them. The gun weighs the same, the powder weighs the same, the only difference is the weight of the bullet and that is only 0.004 lbs.

Yep, you can. If that .004 lbs were just sitting on the gun, you couldn't. Since it's hitting north of 2700fps by the time it exits the barrel, you can. Physics is pretty strict about that stuff.

so would using the lightest bullet for your caliber for CPT then using the heavyest for rams be the plan? I was planning on using 100 or 107 for my 260 then 140-142"s for the ram. I was even going to take it one step farther by making light loads just for the Chickens. I have a whole bunch of colored ammo boxes.
