Sights for Remington 572 pump
I am considering buying a Remington 572 for cowboy silhouette. Has anyone ever used one of these and if so could they recommend a set of sights for me? I was thinking of trying the Williams FP sight that attaches to the dovetail to avoid having to drill and tap the receiver. Any experience with these sights? Thank you. Mark

My wife shoots a Remington 572 and they're a neat little gun. The stock on the BDL seems to high for iron sights and you may need to get a 572 fieldmaster rear stock, or bring it into572 fieldmaster dimensions. I was also told by Remington that it's the same rear stock on a 20 guage 870. The 572 field master has a low enough stock to comfortably use iron sights. We left the front sight on as it's attached to the barrel by two screws, but took off the rear sight . We called Williams and they recommended the low 5D. This sight just clamps on the grooves where the scope would clamp. We had a trigger job done on the gun and it seems to like standard velocity rounds, especially CCI.
