Awards at local matches

Post by krgriggs »

I was wondering what other clubs were doing for the monthly local matches for each class 1st 2nd and 3rd. What type of awards are you giving out?

Return entry fee or ticket for entry fee. Pay 1 award for 3 entries in class, combining classes as needed. Try for half entries paid back.
Other option is pay high over all, then random drawing of entry cards.
Some matches give hats with logo embroidery on it.
Others don't give anything, trying to keep the entry fee low (paint, mowing, maintenance).
Fees $3 - $10 are common.

We give an engraved Coffee Mug for Match winner, Ribbons for 1st place in Class and pins for 5, 10 animals.

Entry fees are $10 for BPCRS, and $6 for PCLAS.

At our monthly club match we charge 15 bucks which includes a gourmet lunch in lieu of prize money, so everyone wins. We also offer a new Caddilac or a weekend with Pamela Anderson for a 40/40.

Hammy baby...don't you think that is a little discriminatory? I wouldn't want a Caddy (too much gas)...and Pamela Anderson???? Ah what the H...I'll settle for the food, it is good at least.

We have food items for prizes, frozen chickens or parts thereof, hams, turkeys, steaks, etc. I know of another club that gives out bacon and eggs. Fun and not very expensive.

Smells good. At our last match, I missed a few frozen chickens but did manage 10 hams in a row.
