Disc plow blades for targets?

We are thinking of some range improvements. Has anyone ever hung disc plow blades up for 100-500 yards high power targets? Wondering how bullet resistant they are, should be pretty hard I would think and should ring pretty well?

I've done this back in Oregon on the farm. 30-30 and .308 rings them pretty good. Of course, we weren't shooting them nearly as much as they would get shot at a shooting range.

They also make excellent bases for power tool stands, like for a bench grinder.

They are just like shooting railroad track plates. I always end up shooting through the hole or holes and don't know if I should call it a miss or a hit. Yes they work fine. Be sure to turn them so the bullets are not deflected back to you. They do crack sometimes. Also fun to shoot are sickle sections hung on a fence , they even come with holes in them for the bailing wire.

I've shot at road 'grader' blades with a .308 at 200 mtrs.

The 155gr 'Match' Sierras made barely a mark on them.

I don't know what steel they were, but they must be a job to cut into any shape.

They should be similar spec to a plough share.
