Post by Jim Beckley »

Hey this coming Sunday is going to kickoff the 2011 Globe-Miami Small Bore Silhouette matches. Weather might be a tad cold for Az, but we are planning on shooting anyway. Match time is 9:00am. All of 5.00 to shoot. 60 shot match.

When the temps around here hit the 60's, most of the locals will be wearing some sort of a jacket, you can always tell the folks from Iowa and Minnesota, wearing shorts and t-shirts and sporting some serious moon burn (pure white)!

It got down to 27f here in Casa Grande this morning. Ain't no way I'm going out in that weather. If I wanted cold weather I would have stayed in MT.

Hey Jerry, Bant must be pissed. I see that they got snow as far south as Tucson. Yuma cant be that much better off. "Watch me!! I'm retiring to sunny Arizona" =))

Mr.York, next time you see Tom tell him he may as well go back to CO where he belongs. We miss his ugly mug. :))

Tucson is higher in elevation than Phx. Yuma is the low point in the state. It got down to 27 again this morning. This sucks but there will be several matches Sunday, SB in Globe thanks to JB and HP at Three Points (Tucson). I am struggling with which one to go to so I can show off my old insulated coveralls.

Was at the range today, pretty cold, if you are planning on coming to the match don't wear shorts and a t-shirt. Plenty of snow past Superior, Top of the World was covered with snow, just a couple of patches at the range.

Had a total of 7 shooters today, Jeff Boyer, Kathleen Garvin, Eric Sundstrom, Dean Hall, Bill Cole, Joy Cox, myself, and one guest Sherri Anthony (Joy's sister), Kathy and Joy's temp gauge said it was 16 when they got to the range. Not weather for desert rats! When it warmed up a tad the condensation from the roof was leaking down on us, oh well we got our 60 ea and took off. Thanks for everyone's help!

Man, it was warmer in the NE yesterday and today than that #:-s . May have to reconsider my long range plans if it stays that cold there ;)

Bob, This range is Globe is about 2 hrs from Ben Avery, the elevation is about 3500 ft. there and it is always colder there than here in the valley, even Jeff said that it was cold there this am for Globe.
