Sako 75/85

More expensive to feed, but worth it.

Sako 75/85

Post by ter »

How does the Sako stand compared to other rifles. I have a Sako 75 Finnlite that I use for hunting, but the 300wsm is not legit for silhouettes. A local dealer has a 22/250 for 799 with two stocks. Would this be a good candidate for a 260 barrel?

We see Sako rifles from time to time although we see more Tikka's and those are less expensive and come with barrels in the right calibers for shooting silhouettes.

ppkny, sounds like you got one real good HP Silhouette rifle for a good price. A frind of mine has one in 308 and it's a tack driver.

Hi guys.. I bought A sako 75 stainless synthetic in 7mm08 back in 2003. What A great rifle!. I use it As my hunter class silhouette rifle along with A pharr built rem 700 with his RT stock. The sako 75 in my opinion is one of the finest factory rifle's built . Great trigger and after A few thousand rounds it still shoots 1/2 groups @100 yards. the rifle got me to AAA with A couple of master scores. I shoot at central jersey NJ and atglen PA where other shooters use sako 75's and 85's... Again great gun sincerely Anthony G Rambuster

Another Sako to consider... Sako TRG in 6.5x55. nice stock, solid trigger, even better when a remington Jewel is hung on it. mine will do a consistent 3" at 500 meters with factory barrel. can still be found every now and again.

I've been shooting and reloading a 6.5 for about a year now and have found that brass, bullets and primers are readly available and are reasonably priced forthat caliber.
