Milt Hood

Just got word that Milt Hood passed away. Milt was a WW2 Marine and one hell of a good guy, they just don't make them like Milt anymore.

He will be missed at the 3 point range. He was a very nice guy and fun to talk to.

Unbeknown to most, the very existence of the Tucson Rifle Club's range is due to Milt's hard work, vision and Engineering know-how. Milt and others recognized urban sprawl would catch-up with the original range at its former location. After securing the land where the range is presently located, Milt donated his time and expertise as a Mining Engineer to design the layouts, carry-out most of the earth-moving and placement of the stands.

He was blessed with a great sense of humor and the humility of the Kentucky-born gentleman he was. He never claimed credit for all he did. We will really miss him. He was a good friend.

Rest in Peace, Milt.
