Memories... come in and share...

Post by mordecai »

If this belongs in the Berm, so be it.

But I've been traveling a lot and my time with the boys has left a lot to be desired, for them and me.

So last night, while Mom was out of town, they boys were mowing the lawn when the BB gun came out.

In between wheelbarrow loads, I'd hear a pla-thunk, pla-thunk... and as I walk outside to see how things were going, I see the middle one swing on a sparrow as it wisps by... and be damned if the thing didn't take one right to the eyeball and drop stone dead. We stood in admiration of the marksmanship and it took no time at all until we where giggling little boneheads trying to devise a way to dispose of the little bugger... And then I let it slip... I put forth that perhaps we should send him back to the great beyond via one last flight from the potato cannon... There was no stopping them now. We futz'd and fooled trying to get the right mixture of potato and spray paint and finally sent him into the ever-after with one last mighty flight. Sometimes, boys will be boys and sometimes, the best memories are made around doing things you're probably not supposed to be doing... that's life.

So what is the correct load? Hair spray to flame mixture, with or without wadding?

Yes, what was the best load, and was it over the recommended max in the load manual? Did you see any pressure signs.

What is the BC on a sparrow?
