Well, don't ban me.....

Post by OnaginOffagin »

But I'm gonna go off to shoot a black rifle at the Washington State Highpower Championships this weekend....iron sights on paper...kind of a bucket list thing.... I shot on a state National Guard Team way back when the earth cooled, and I want to see if I can still get my Distinguished Badge. The light recoiling AR is far, far easier to shoot than my old M-14, and I'm kinda hopeful. But silhouette is still my own true love....won't be gone long....honest!

Well, this ancient bro got through the match...... I shot in the mid to lower nineties, when I was actually on my target! Lol, I definitely won the cross-fire award! You think it's easy to cross-fire shooting sill? Try and shoot on your own target when you can't see the number boards! My new glasses were somewhat not up to the task, but that was my fault because I had "assumed" that they were....but I have a test set of lenses coming, so I can go to the range and actually see what diopter I need to add to my shooting lenses....

And, no, I didn't get DE... I'm a long, long way from it, but I learned it ain't impossible, not impossible at all. But it's gonna take some work, and if I don't get it, well, at least I will be able to check-off the "I tried" box! I also like shooting service rifle in NRA high power.... it's different, but not really, shooting is shooting! And shooting the AR isn't hard on either the body or the pocket book.
