The Chairman Canberra June 2011
The scoped event is well underway in canberra. I have been reliably informed by an ANOM source (Dooga Dave) that the CHAIRMAN did not have a wonderful start as the 375 ammo that he brought from Tassie would not fit into his 6.5 that he packed to shoot. Subsequently the Chairman needed to borrow Dooga's rifle and on day one shot the same score. Considering the photo that he (the chairman) sent the night previously to me, of persons enjoying Golden Syrup dumplings cooked by Eileen the Chairman's wife. which I so far have been unsuccessful in getting a taste!!! I would have probably convinced the chairman that a 375 would feed into his 6.5. All the best to all participants, hope its not too cold.

Now let me guess the Chairman is going to blame the mix up of ammo/rifle on stress of having to pack his brother the Toad as well.

MTB,
You and I both know that the Chairman would have needed the eeeexxxtra weight
induced by the finely prepared and cooked dumplings, to keep his finely hewn frame from slipping and sliding around in that nasty icy weather.

cheers
Deadeye
ps I heard a rumour that he wore ten pairs of socks to bed to keep his feet warm,

Re: The Chairman Canberra June 2011
If the Chairman wasn't such a nancy boy he could have swaged those 375's down to 6.5 with a bit of old manliness on the bolt.
Otherwise by the sound of it, he could have left those 375's out in the fresh night air and got some serious shrinkage factor going; as seems to be particularly common on the Canberra range (the shrinkage
), maybe the shoot could be held in the chill of night under the warm glow of headlights off hairy butt cheeks so that the Chairmans rounds fit in the chamber. I'm sure they would have chambered quite easily then Mr Chairman.
As for down in the tropical south, we'll be shooting clackity clack lever guns in Hawaiian shits tomorrow in the balmy Tasmanian winter sun. We'll probably shoot a bunch of 40's like normal with D'Dave serving up P'P'P'Pina C'C'Colada's. Ah this game is too easy.

Hi All
The real reason THE CHAIRMAN packed the wrong ammo was he could not handle the recoil of his 6.5 and needed a excuse to shoot DOOGA'S new
"7mm Softcock". How many rams did you stand?

I did offer the Chairman the use of my 30-06, but he chose to go with Dooga's wildkitten "7mm Softcock".
But he still has my full support I'm behind him 100% ;)

hi all
well i will not take the blame for this little stuff up by the chairman
.i was there when he stated you see what i am doing this is how you get to
shoot some WOOD DUCK'S AMMO pretend to take the wrong bullets.
it would seem that this is a little trick the he doe's every now and then
.when he is buying a new gun or seven to save a few bucks
innocent as for the finger of the glove to keep his little gun warm i have seen this thing a lot of times and as a comparison a door stop would
look small

Re: The Chairman Canberra June 2011
Well in typical fashion I was all set to shoot my normal 40/40
down here in Tassie while the Chairman was gone. I shoot much better when the Chairman is not present
BUT!!! Again I was foiled! I was expecting DDDDDave to turn up for our balmy tropical winter in his Hawaiian shirt, pour a few Pina Colada's but instead he turned up displaying a new caterpillar.
I couldn't concentrate with this standing beside me and dare not take me eye's off him for fear of what may happen.....

How is one supposed to shoot with this beside you??
While the rest of us were plenty cold, Dave's top lip was as snug as a bug in a rug. Much like the Chairmans willy warmer.
