25-35 for big bore?
Anybody here ever use a 25-35 for big bore cowboy silhouette? Did it take the rams? I just picked up a new 336 that is gonna get built into a nice silo rifle, likely a 38-55 but I am pondering a smallbore as well just to be different...

Re: 25-35 for big bore?
nobade, There have been a few shooters using the 25-35 at the nationals. I have been shooting one this year and I am nothing short of impressed with it. It is extremely accurate and flat shooting with little recoil.
I had to adjust my load to knock down the rams and it is reliable as long as the targets are set to topple point. If the target setters are not instructed to do so or forget I will lose some. As to your statement that you are going to build a cowboy silhouette rifle; let me remind you that you are not allowed to change barrels, only relining is allowed. Al Foust
