Pharr vs Wooster Stock
Evelio is customizing my Rem 700 and discovers Robertson Stocks are shut down due to an owner squabble. How long? Who knows.
Now considering stock alternatives. Can anyone compare a Wooster to a Pharr RT/S?
Any other suggestions? Thanks.

It's all personal preference. They both feel good. One of them things you are going to have to see which one feels the best to you. Hard to describe on here. I will post some pictures to show what each one looks like.

I'm sure Steve answered most of your questions. Here is a few quick pictures of my Wooster stock and my RTS. Sorry about the quality I through them together really quick. And another thing my wonderful children decorated my Wooster stock. That is now called the fish stock.

Jason
Thanks for the pictures, the fish stock is just a Nessika style stock, I have seen them, but Steve said that he has a mold for the RT/S style, that is the one I want to see.
No response or pictures from Wooster yet.
Evelio.

Re: Pharr vs Wooster Stock
Evelio,
Looks like Jason got the pic's out for me. The Pharr stock blank I made a mold of was at Robertsons for a while. I guess they where going to make a mold and never did. The only difference I see compairing to one of Pharrs current one is the belly is about 1/8" to 3/16 deeper in magazine area and follows that taper to tip. you can email me direct at [email protected] and I can send pic's if needed. I am fixing a flaw in the right side of butt, there is a dip in there I found after I made a mold. I wish I would of seen that first. Anyother questions let me know.

I am in dired need for some RT/S stocks, I had several on order with Robertson, and customers re-bareled actions sitting here waiting on stocks.
You said that the belly is 1/8" to 3/16 deeper, do you mean actually thicker or narrower from the top of the stock to the bottom of the stock where the mag. fits. as is the Pharr stock is really critycal on how deep you inlet the action, to be able to reach the Mag. release lever comfortably. In some of them, I had to replace the std. mag. release lever with an extended one.
I would like to talk on the phone about more specific details, please e-mail me your no. at [email protected].
Thanks
Evelio.
