finnfire magazine

hey all you Finnfire owners,

i love mine, shoots awesome, and its pretty good looking too, the magizine sits flush and doesnt seem to have much to grab on to to pull them out, any tips?
the guy who had it before me had double side taped some little foam blocks, they do work, but i feel they are an attachment and techniclly not legal for hunter.

words from the ise please? i shoot fast enough i can struggle the 10-15 seconds needed but would like some finnesse.

I don't shoot a Sako, but with most rifles if you press/pull the magazine release then the magazine should fall out of the gun. I had two out of five of my Anschutz magazines that wouldn't free fall when I pushed the magazine release. A little investigation revealed that the housing that they go up into was just slightly off-center, only enough for those two to be affected. Loosening the screws and wiggling the housing around until those two would fall free fixed it. Now all of them fall right out into my hand when I hit the release. Along with that, you might also check to make sure that nothing in there is bent and touching where it shouldn't and also that there's no corners and such that have formed a burr through use that are now dragging against something.

Pretty simple; with the bolt closed, just flick the release, mag will drop out.
I used a finnfire for a lot of years, then just had to have an Annie.
Sako works....Annie????

At the moment I've got an Anschutz 1416 Thumbhole, the one with the 14 inch barrel, in .22LR It's aCracking piece of kit, but sadly it just doesn't get the use it deserves at the moment. Lately I've been thinking of selling it to put the money towards the new Swaro rangefinder bins, I'm most of the way towards them and a quick sale of Annie would most likely cover the rest.

Eventually, i would want another .22, and when that time comes i want the .22 i always wanted, a Sako Finnfire varmint, a rifle that needs no introduction really. The only thing that worries me about it is the availability of spare parts, and in particular, Magazines. Does anyone Know if the Sako Quad .22 magazine is compatible with the Finnfire?

I had the same issue with trying to get the empty mag out of the rifle . I found moving the bolt forward helps to push the mag out when the release is pushed. I also added a "tab of electrical tape " I folded the tape onto its self hanging down and one wrap around the mag to hold it in place . Its simple and has worked for me for years .
