New BLING

Post by shakes »

and boy do I mean BLING. Finally got it all put together and polished up. Got the Defiance Rebel action early this year and gave it fellow shooter and gunsmith Loren Peter. The caliber is .260 of course, the action is a Defiance Rebel action single shot no extractor( 8-} whoops.I meant ejector. Thank you Mr. Malmberg), the barrel is a Pac-Nor 3 groove, the trigger is a C.G. Jackson two stage model, the rings are Mr. Marvins and the stock is a Wooster standard carbon stock. The glass will be a Leupold FX3 25X with 3/8ths dot. I should have a lot of fun this next year. Its brother should be done by the end of the week and I will post some pics when its done.

Very nice Shakes. It looks like a chromed out Chopper. Do you have any issues or concerns about possible glare and sunlight reflecting off all that shiny metal. I realize this is not even your Hunter rifle much less for hunting but was wondering since I have had a hell of a time at some ranges during certain hours even with a black matte setup. I want to put a brushed alum shroud cover on the end of my bolt to accent the trigger guard and stainless barrel but am hesitant to do so fearing glare. I'd also like to go with silver rings but don't for that reason.

Shakes,

Nice, nice....like the color/carbon fiber look on the stock and I do like shiny things....Just don't take it out on either of the two days the sun shines up there or you'll blind everyone at the range...I especially like the Lapua sticker on the stock...really sets it off.

Would be nice if you brought it to the Conard Cup and let us fondle and drool over it.

Thanks guys. Cant wait to get out to the range with them. =p~

Snake a Wooster stock is hand made by Steve Wooster. He is a member on this board so if you look him up in the directory and shoot him a pm he will be glad to answer any guestions you have. He makes a hunter version as well. Lots of color combos and he can have them hdyro dipped in lots of cool patterns as well.
