Browning T-Bolt

HOw would one of these (Browning T Bolt) work for SB? Triggers, generat accuracy? Never shot one, but local gun shop has a couple and they seem very nice.

New or old T-bolt?

CZ 452 better rifle for 2/3's the price or less. I have a new T-bolt, wood stock, varmint barrel. Balances nice, decently accurate, PLASTIC trigger. Made a new trigger spring and got it to a hair over 2lbs. But a PLASTIC trigger on a $600+ gun ruins it. (also voids the warranty if you remove the sticker on the trigger to fix it) I have an old T-2, not as accurate, no cheekweld as stock was made for open sights. Used 1416 is a better use of the same money. New 452 and a case of ammo is better. IMHO, YMMV....etc.

we have a shooter that uses a T-Bolt at our monthly matches and seems to do very well with it, I dont see why it would not work for you as well.

The gold standard is an Anschutz 1712 of course, but many can't or won't spend that kind of money, and even though the CZ 452 is economical and high value even though balance and feel are imperfect. If the T-Bolt is decently accurate, reliable and fits you then use it.

Ahmed, remember Paul bought that Tbolt because he wanted a lefty. A very pretty gun, just not much you can do with the trigger.

If ya gotta have a toggle bolt, for the same price as a CZ you can get a Biathalon basic 7-2. Mac Tilton will do a lefty conversion for it. EABCO makes a cheek piece for $30 and it's got an adjustable METAL trigger. Just ANOTHER opinion. Hope it doesn't smell to bad.

My one year old LH, CZ 452 American with scope is 7-1/2 lbs and the balance point is perfect for me too. They still have LH in stock. I changed the trigger spring, #143 hardware store, cut it a hair shorter than factory spring with 2lb 1/2 oz result with more room for adjustment. These are my preferred results. Sure beats the heavy Marlin 39a with scope at a hair short of 8-1/2 lbs, I started out with. Each has their preference which works best for them. My 2 cents.
