Newbie to Steelchickens but not rimfire photo heavy
Hello,
I am new to the forum and have already gotten some great advise. Several years ago I shot in the small bore and highpower silhouette matches and I am just getting back into it. I own a small gunshop in wentzville, missouri and have been shooting in the vintage benchrest matches at my local range. Just went back to smallbore silhouette last week and found out about the new to my area cowboy lever action rimfire matches they have not held one yet at my range but are going to start and I am looking forward to it. This is my rimfire rifle collection as of now.

The rifle marked 1813 is a model 1809. It will have the 1813 action, but the stock makes it a 1809. Nice selection of rifles!

Shane, welcome to Steel Chickens. About time you made your way over from RFC. I never get tired of looking at your collection. I'm not sure what makes me more envious, the rifles or the lathe.

Maybe some of us could stop in and say hello while we are there for Missouri High power silhouette this year.

Welcome! I'd probably use the Marlin 39a for smallbore cowboy instead of the Henry if I were you.

I have not shot it much I may have to order another tang sight and compare them. the Henry shoots great and it is so smooth.I think I remember that the marlin sometimes has extraction problems may have to look at replacing the extractor also, that would be a pain in a match.Jason wrote:Welcome!
