JD, off the topic on this thread but my answer.
Marlin (older) as the Henry has gone to using plastic trigger/action mechanisms....and I'm old school and prefer metal. BTW they (Marlins) are 400 to 500 here in FL.
But in contrast to another question you had on another topic...fit is VERY important. What feels best for your build is much more important in all the silhouette disciplines, as 95%+ of the shooters can not even come close to holding the rifle steady enough to match the accuracy potential of the rifle from the bench.

So hold both the Henry and Marlin....and in the standard game try as many of the CZ's as you can, the 452 action is the same, the stock configuration is the biggest difference in them. But do remember stocks can be modified or changed.

I have not set the Marlin up side by side for a comparison to the Henry the Marlin shoots well as I remember but has an occasional failure to extract and I have not as of yet replaced the extractor. The Marlin is a 1952 model that I purchased more for my collection than as a shooter. The Henry has a very smooth action and with a little stoning and a spring change it has a decent trigger and it shoots well. I bought it to shoot. However i do believe the quality of construction is better on the old Marlin rifles and in my opinion they are the better rifle, but the new Marlins since Remington took them over and moved the factory have had some problems. My experience has been that the Remington/ Marlin quality control is non existent so be careful.Henry does stand behind there rifles and I think you will have a better chance of getting a problem freee new rifle from them rather than Marlin. I hope this helps you.

I will post them once I get the sights in they are on order. I took the scope off and plugged the holes and worked on the ejection issue the rifle has a good trigger and seems to shoot well. We will see.
