Testing out my new swingers.

More expensive to feed, but worth it.

Testing out my new swingers.

Post by Bob Mc Alice »

I was out at CRC again today. Mr.Hawks cancelled his SB match for good reason so I took advantage of an open range day. The snow had not melted at all since I was there last weekend. My tracks were almost completely filled in from more snow and wind during the week. Today was mostly over cast, cold from 15-18 degrees and very calm again. Perfect shooting weather. Not another soul showed up, wonder why. :? :)

No bench rest work today, only off hand shooting at my "new" set of swinger targets. At our Jan. BOD meeting a senior club member offered me his personal set of HP swingers. He quit shooting silhouette in the early 80's and they were stored in his garage ever since. They needed some significant weld repair so I brought them to work to mess with. I removed his chains and fitted them with long lasting tire tread straps. They work real good at stopping bullets. I fired 150 rounds rotating through the five factory barreled rifles.

Dang it Bob!! You gotta quit going out there and not inviting me!! :|

And now the envy sits in. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. X(

Nice photos!! You got a hell of a deal on those swingers! I am going to make up some full-size HP paper targets and start using them at my new club. (no steel)

I feel sorry for those roosters, not much to eat out there this year. Hopefully there going over to eat with that guys chickens on the south side of the road. For those of you living in the banana belt this has been a very bad winter here in Colorado, we still have snow on the ground from the first week in december. Only 3-4 snows but the temps have been much colder than normal, I've been feeding the deer in my backyard since christmas and they are very grateful!
