Made Master with my 2nd air rifle today. 2 down 5 to go
Well it was a good day at the airgun match today. Shot my 3rd Master score in Open Class 36/40 to move me up to Master Class
. Last month I moved up to Master in Target Rife Class as well.
So only one left is Sporter Class which I need another Master score for, I came up 1 point short of classifying as Master with it to begin with years ago and now it is my last remaining air rifle I need.
So 2 Classes Mastered and 5 more to go! Starting to crack the Master score now with my smallbore as well. It is as if all my practice and matches are finally coming together along with the spotting to get my scores to be not only higher but consistently higher. Today I shot the 36 in Open and a 35 in Target with some challenging wind conditions to pay attention to.
When you beat Tureau and Jeaux both matches it is a good day
To all you newbies don't let the skill of the better shooters or the difficulty of the game itself discourage you from pressing on. If you put in the time and learn what you can from those better than you you'll be surprised at what you are able to do in due time. I have played many sports both team and individual in my life and I must say this game is one of the most rewarding when you reach certain milestones you have set for yourself.
Those of you that have never tried air silhouette it is a blast without the blast. Shooting 10m Target guns designed to shoot inside at 33' out to distances of 135' outdoors in the conditions is a challenge to say the least. I don't think anything drifts more than a 8gr pellet going 135' @ less than 600 fps.

Very cool. Out of all the firearms I ever had, I like the air guns the best. I imagine air helped quite a bit with your success. Congratulations.

WOW, Congrats on the great shooting! I just snagged an Annie 2002 that I'm gonna try and bring to Winni for the airrifle matches. Are you partaking in the airrifle matches at Winni Dee? Also I couldn't agree with ya more ter. Just for the brief amount of time of owning one, I've already noticed it's perks!

Thanks guys. I would say shooting a air rifle is the way to go for trigger time on the cheap that demands everything from the shooter. With the long lock times and slow pellets it makes all the others easier IMO. I just got into the High Power game but having shot only one large match in Zwolle so far and coming 1 point shy of a AAA score with a loaner rifle I can absolutely say the airguns played a big part in that along with all the silhouette shooting in general. When you touch off a High Power round though if you have mastered everything up to the beginning of the follow through you should be doing pretty good, so long as you ain't flinching and such
I am still up in the air about the airguns for Winnie Baby Huey. Was thinking today hmmmm last chance maybe I should go ahead and take a couple more days and shoot it all. Just not sure right now but will be there for the smallbore for sure. You will enjoy your new Annie and it will improve your shooting rest assured. I noticed someone mention your concern about bringing your air tank to Winnie. If you ask around I would bet someone that is bringing a tank would let you take a few sips not like you need much. Enough to bring the rifle as it is if you can bum a fill
Oh hell I just realized if I go shoot the airgun matches I will have to shoot in Master Class
Maybe I will save those vacation days after all
