RCBS ChargeMaster.. Anyone ever mess with the programming?

More expensive to feed, but worth it.

Also another fun fact is that you can use a Starbucks (pro gun) straw and they are the same green as RCBS so it will look matchy matchy.

Not that any of us care about looks.

My wife and daughter got me a charge master for fathers day. I started using it this weekend and decided to change the programing to speed it up. How have I reloaded for the last 33 years without one of these. Dropped 85 charges set on three different weight of two powders, not a single over charge. How can you beat that 85 loads that are dead on. Rainy weekend so I did not shoot any, but will test the loads during the week.

It finally came time to load some HP rounds this coming week so I just sat down and tweaked the RCBS ChargeMaster. I ran some averages with the factory setting for 36gr of Varget and got around 2 per minute 3 on rare exceptions, with the verification delay included. Once I changed to Dan's recommended settings I got it to toss the charge with the verification wait in around 12-15 seconds. Still need to grab a straw and upgrade the dispenser tube to see how it goes for a run of 100 rounds. Looks promising :D

I don't think I can pour the charge in the case and seat and crank the press much faster than 4 a minute at max so that is the goal.
