Brand New Guy Here, Shot Yesterday First Time!
Hey "steel chickens" a friend from my gun club took me to a silhouette shoot yesterday and man what a challenge/fun it is...I've been shooting since I was nine and man was I humbled!!! Now I'm addicted and want to conquer this sport....I'll probably ask stupid questions so excuse me!!! Now to take my time and find right gun and optics!! It's just money.....right???

Man do we ever need more people like you. People that don't shun away from a challenge! Great job getting out there and giving it a go. Your first match sounds a lot like mine. Humbling and immediately addicted! Haha

Welcome to the additction!!!
Shoot every chance you get. Nothing beats good practice (not just throwing lead down range)! If you are looking for a gun, you must have borrowed one for the match. If you have it or can get it you can also practice by "holding inside the circle" as explained by former National Champ - Troy Lawton http://www.zediker.com/articles/zcomlawt.pdf
Good shooting - have fun and shoot all those animals as the "run by."

Hey shooting star I'm also in Asheville, NC I shot at Piedmont last saturday.... a 4 and a 7.....humble pie, but I wiil get better!!! Yep I used a friends Browning with a 16X scope. I looked down a couple of 24X scopes and what a difference!!! Guess what will be on my first gun.....
