Diablo Rod and Gun club

Just wanted to extend my thanks to the Diablo Rod and Gun Club (Concord, CA) -- I was traveling in the area and was able to make their monthly shoot last Saturday. Being used to shooting in fairly calm conditions here in the Pacific Northwest, gusty breezes presented a challenge. That's why we shoot at different ranges, right? to learn how to shoot in different conditions? By the time I was done, I had a better idea of how to read the wind, enough to record my first 10-pin ever. They have a nice facility and offer a "varmint" class -- off the bench -- for shooters who for whatever reason don't want to shoot offhand. My grandson shot off the bench -- his first time out -- and now is bugging me to take him again so he can get a pin. Thanks guys! See you again.
