Trigger Shoe

Is there much to adding a trigger shoe other than remove the sharp edge of the trigger?

I don't have a lot of experience with trigger shoes but the few I have installed didn't require any mods to the gun. I just fit the shoe over the trigger and tightened the set screws.

Daddio, I thought I heard/read it would make a 2lb trigger feel a little lighter? We had nice 60F yesterday and went to the range for short practice and leveling the 20 meter individual animal stands for pistol. Today, 30F and 25mph wind gusts! I don't want to spend money on trigger shoe if it won't make the trigger feel lighter. Just curious for those that use or have tried. I should have been more specific in my original question. Oh, well.

Most agree it "seems" to make the trigger lighter. Same pressure spread over a larger area.

You don't mention what kind of rifle you're shooting. If its an anschutz then replacing the crumby thin aluminum crap (I don't have a sting opinion about these you see) with one of the models Marvin Pearson makes will do wonders for how it feels as well as making the hunter weight break when you want it to. Steve Wooster is the go to guy for these last I checked.
