I think my NRA HP days may be over for good. I picked up my CZ 455 and a used Luepold 6.5x20
Couple questions-

My last CZ I went witht eh YoDave trigger kit. Anything that much better in the last year?
The scope has the duplex reticle- I find with my hunting rifle I frame the area and use the thin cross hairs to pinpoint the shot and seems to work well.
Anyone not using the Dot reticle?

I tried the duplex for one match, it was waaaay to busy with all the extra hair in there.

Extra hair is never good. Clean and uncluttered is best. Chuck, the reason most people use the dot is it allows for a single aiming point in which to break the shot on a spot. That is what we are all concentrating on correct? Focusing on the spot on the animal where we want to hit. Not focusing on the reticle. I belive Innocent had an excellent write up on this in the past. I'm sure a simple search will make it turn up.

Agree all focus is on the target less in the scope the better. This due to silhouette not having a precise aiming point, you have to pick it on a large target.

New shooters show up at our matches with all sorts of complicated reticules, and make point of impact mistakes

Keep it simple. Use a dot. Only question is the size. I prefer the leupold target dot (small) most prefer a 1/2"

We start up our weekly indoor practice sessions next week through April. I got my stuff out this morning For some head start practicing later today. We have our "Frosty Iron Tournament" January 26, starting at 11am. We have a couple inches of snow right now. Everyone is welcome and only $10.00 fee for 40 rounds with Pizza Hut afterwards plus hot chocolate. This will be a sanctioned match with high score last year of 13/40. Pins will be awarded!
It really is a lot of fun with the right clothing and boots!

Greg called me this week and books will be mailed this coming week and will cost $13.00, I assume. All southern folk are CORDIALLY invited. Jon
