Could this be a contender for a newbies rifle..
Interesting find about these soon to be imported rifles. Looks like they could be a potential starter level gun at the same rough price point as CZs and Savages. Cool Biathlon Action too. Would love to have that on windy days. Would probably have to take out some wood to make weight and work on the trigger (they have it listed at 5 lbs) if it is worthy of the effort.

Nice looking rifles..... Interested in seeing one and seeing how nice it is in person....
Edit to ask..... Is it legal to have a magazine that protrudes beneath the bottom of the rifle as show in the link.....?

Legal, just can't use it as a palm rest or support pointMerlin wrote:Nice looking rifles..... Interested in seeing one and seeing how nice it is in person....

Hawk, the one you shot is Russian made Ishmaz...this is Austrian, looks very similar, in fact I have a ten round mag, but it doesn't feed properly. This one appears to have a wider forend but not the depth that the Biathlon that I have does. Mine is illegal because of the depth from the centerline of the bore to the bottom of the stock is over 2.5 (???) inches. I would be interested to try one of these, although $599 isn't in the price range I am finding CZ's.
Mine was much cheaper but then it was a few years ago.

If they offer flush fitting mags and mag release then it could be a great choice. Supposed to have a German match barrel and I love the stock shape. Hopefully the trigger can be improved.

I figured Innocent's SPA was the Izzy model that you shot Hawk. I'm not sure these have even made it over yet. The stock does look to be better than the CZ IMO but until I hold one I can't say that with anything other than a hunch. As for the price yes it is a bit more perhaps but then those are the $$ MSRP listed and I have never paid that amount for any gun. I'll be looking forward to seeing one someday. Always liked that SPA bolt setup. But the 5 lb trigger would have to go
and maybe they will offer a flush fit 5 round mag too.

With a weight of 7.84 lbs and add scope, would not meet Hunter with my 18 oz scope. Yes, would need flush 5 rd clip, too. I would not be interested.

It lists that same weight for every single configuration of that model, including some of which that would obviously be heavier or lighter. I'd like to see what the weight of one of those in the wood stock actually is.

This is the only video on YouTube that I could find of it. The action seems a little stiff but my guess is that it would get smoother with use. Even my Anschutz rifles are much smoother now than they were when I first got them.

I'm not sure if Rick there at Legacy Sports has ever actually fired a gun though. I love his fake recoil followed by the actual trigger pull.
