new to this I need help with resourses

I never shot chickens before but I've always wanted a nice accurate .22 to train with and hunt with. I have an old Remington bolt action 22 that I always grab over my 10/22's no matter what the duty is. I love bolt action 22's! Naturally shooting silhouette appeals to me. Even thought it looks like there are no competitions near me I figure it will still be fun to woop on friends shooting some steel...and its a great excuse to buy a new toy.

I need some help sourcing some things;
1: CZ 452 lux or trainer(I've decided on this rifle) - looks like whittaker has the best prices. I'm going to offer my local shops a chance to match the final price(after shipping and FFL) anywhere else I should look?
2: chickens! and the rest.. where do you get good ones from?
3: Is there a detachable scope mount for the 452's...I love shooting irons and would like this gun to be scoped and not scoped(I know about zeroing issues just wondering if there is anything out there like Larue has for AR's).

Here are a couple of helpful sites for targets and how the game is played. Not sure about the scope mount that will work with the CZ and still hold zero. But take a look at the first link for the BKL rings.

For target I recomend the cast targets from Ray Safer, you can find cheaper but nothing that will last as long as these. If you do purchase laser cut targets stay about from the mild steel (A36) animals they tend to bend when hit.

I have dealt with these people on two occasions. Very easy to deal with and have a wide range of target choices. I have 40m cleared out back. I bought a set of critters scaled down to shoot at that distance. The cast target are some of the best. I myself bought the swingers, less time spent walking back and forth resetting targets. But in my case the reset time doesn't amount to that much. Patients, Practice and Dry Fire. Don't get frustrated and give up. We need all the new shooters we can get. Welcome aboard. This is always a good place to watch for a shooter. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php Check the Market Place. You do have to check it often, as a decent deal doesn't last long.
This sport is no where near the AR world. Quick and fast, not here. The available accessories are very limited in comparison. Stable, consistent and repeatable. BKLS are a good value. Keep in mind weight restrictions, according to class.
