Rifle Fit/Sizing
I bought a CZ 452 American a couple years ago as the Silhouette model did not come in L.H. version. With this American with scope height at 1.43 inch high, half my butt stock is above the shoulder blade with the shape of my body. I would have to bring the scope up another inch+ to get the right fit in my shoulder, which is not allowed. The stock on the American is to much in a flat plain with the barrel. I have a long torso and long neck and this stock just does not fit very comfortably
Are there custom stocks for LH 452's or will I have to have a custom rifle made and by whom. Any information will be appreciated.
I might try going back to my Marlin 39a with better fit as fortunately, we allow HV ammo at our NRA cast iron targets. It can only get better??

Re: Rifle Fit/Sizing
You may find something but the comb height rule caps what can be done.
I came from Intl rifles, 10 M Air Rifle, and Schuetzen rifle's All with high cheek pieces. To get my 1712 to feel right have to let it ride very high about half the butt plate in the shoulder pocket. This can be learned, look at the service rifle shooters using AR's I think they had to put in a rule the butt plates bottom can't be on top of the shoulder some guys were riding so high.
Personaly I think cheek weld, support arm hip rest, and hand grip are more important than the butt plates position. Be nice if it was locked in like with a Hook plate but can't often be done and stay within the rule.

Re: Rifle Fit/Sizing
Some members have used body filler (bondo or similar) to make their stocks fit. I've got a 455 and I've got the same problem.
I was really hoping to find some company that could make a decent replacement stock but came-up dry. I'm thinking I will either build one from scratch or modify a Boyd's rimfire hunter.

Re: Rifle Fit/Sizing
I emailed rifle-stocks.com to see if they have a 99% complete drop in for 452 American barrel. They appear to have some with more of a rear drop down. We will see. Otherwise will have to live with my LH American. I will ask some at the club if there is someone that makes stocks from a blank or semi made stock and machine out the rest. Also post on our club bulletin board.

You might try mcmillan. They make a left handed anschutz looking silhouette stock and say they will custom inlet them. Its the blue one about 3/4 of the way down this page. http://www.mcmillanusa.com/mcmillan-sto ... v=branch4b
I buy all my guns from t-rex. He's a small arms dealer.
