new shooter first season hooked...

hello all,
thanks for having this site, taught me a lot in a short time. After 40 years of being a hunter and fun shooter a friend brought me to my first small bore silhouette match at Hendrick Hudson club by Albany NY, with a borrowed gun I got hooked. the next day I was looking, found a used anshutz 1712 dealer said was like new in the box, well it wasn't. I searched internet and local, forums were hot on the CZ455 but I couldn't find one. One day I stoped into my local gunshop and asked the owner where are the decent 22s, response was what about that Sako on the rack. Wow sold at a now fantastic price. I was told it was sub minute of angle and thought yea OK but I got a gun.

First time off my tailgate, worrying about being where some might say I shouldn't be, different ammo, Mueller scope, eley match all less than 1 MOA , was even more encouraged and syched, next match reality hit but only made me more determined to do better.

My 21 year old son was invited and followed my path with the same borrowed gun. Loved it , but no money , dad to the rescue and a new CZ 455 ( NEWELY FOUND) to be had. High mounts and a Mueller scope ( I had to try them at the price ) and now I have a comparison between the Sako Quad and CZ 455.

As of now the Sako with me shooting both is sub MOA the CZ is above but not by much. CZ from the box was the worst trigger I ever experienced on a quality rifle , Yo Dave kit was immediately ordered and installed. Again ,WOW $18 and I think the trigger is better than my Quad.

I've got facts as far as groups if anybody is interested and my opinion on Mueller scopes ( eracticator and 8 x 32 )

Hopefully heading to Staten Island Sat. to shoot in Kens club who takes all of HH CLUB PINS AND TROPHYS HOME WITH HIM
