1712

Post by kevinbear »

There's a 1712 on RFC for sale, go to the Anschutz sub-forum. Seems vague about the price, they must be trolling for a best offer.

Wiggle room. New prices range from $1,755 to $2,195 so depending on condition they may be closer than I like to believe.

Kevin,
It's a feather weight model. Do they even make that anymore?
How similar to the vintage 1422 model?

Featherweight? Forget what I said - $1,550 shipped is a bargain.

It's the wing safety model, slightly different than the current model. Mine is the same vintage, the trigger is much better than the old 1422's. The Anschutz history guys know better than myself but I think the safety change was 2-3 years ago. Mine is a first year of production 1712 with wood stock, no sights, shorter heavier barrel, 2003.
I checked the price on a new one, 1775.00 and 1805.00 from the champions. While it's not a bargain 1550.00 shipped is probably not out of line after all.

There are bargains out there, a couple of years ago Gary and I found the same model at a small gunshow for 1000.00 no tax, about 6 months later I bought my wife a 1422 at Gunsmoke for 450.00 that was like NIB. I don't like single stage triggers but 1422's {1977}like my wife's are incredibly accurate.
