Do you mean where is the trigger spring in your trigger assembly? In mine...it is very easy to get to. Of course the stock needs to be removed to gain access. You can see the spring on right side. Screw is underneath. Undo screw and the spring falls out. Careful, never know what else might fall out. My memory is not good enough.

If not already done, for us newbies it's essential to be able to id the model number of the trigger assembly and to use the online .pdf manual.

WP I took your advise and called Carl at ISS . I shipped the trigger to him he said he could probably get the trigger down to 5 oz . I have done some tinkering with triggers in the past ,but for what I paid for this rifle It didn't make sense to start screwing around with something I don't fully understand. Besides with the 1712 out of commission for a week or 2 that gives me an excuse to get the 40x out of the safe and caress the jewel trigger under it.

No question,none...you can get the weight down on the second stage.

J&P springs...not sure of their exact webb site name. They will list a spring set. Very fast in getting merchandise out.
Under 8 oz? Is this competition? Best to call any of the sources. They will let you know if that goal is possible. My guess is that it is. Be prepared to give the model number of your trigger.

WPhill, I took your earlier advice and took the Trigger and sent it to Earl. He had it back to me in less than a week and it feels like an entirely ne wTrigger. I haven't measured it with a scale but I am guessing it is around 6 OZ. Thanks for your help
