For shooting silhouettes at 40, 60, 80, and 100 yards does this scope with an adjustable objective make sense to use ? Thank you.

You can use it - most people like at least 20x but there is no reason you cant use a 9x scope. If you get into silhouette shooting more seriously you are going to want to get something with more magnification - 9X is not really a scope for the long haul.

This is a great scope for a small bore NRA shilouette pistol, would go with higher magnification for a rifle.

Have one of these 3x9 EFR AO that was modified by Premier Reticles several years ago and really like it, bit it is on a TC Contender in 22 LR.

I had one with target knobs on a Kimber 82. Nice scope outfit for Squirrels, shot it Silhouette for fun. Low power light weight limited scores
