The error from the Anschutz factory involving the triggers with no safety is being addressed and the replacement triggers are at US Customs as of a couple of days before Christmas (Can I say Christmas here...? The "President" of the Untied States will not say that the word.......). Homer told me the trigger issue would be resolved as soon as the triggers actually arrived at Champions Choice. They reopen after the Christmas Holidays - on Jan 2 I think....

As most have mentioned, the factory Anschutz 1712 barrels usually shoot very well. I rebarreled mine with a custom barrel only to add as much weight as possible in the barrel to slow my wobble down a bit and because I like the weight out toward the muzzle. The rifle does shoot very slightly better with the Lilja barrel, but not enough to make it worth the cost for the accuracy improvement alone.

If you're remotely average-sized, the factory stock should also fit you just fine and is a good design for offhand shooting, since Anschutz designed the stock specifically for the silhouette game. I'm only 6 feet tall, but am very thin and need a long length of pull, so that was a factor in me getting a custom stock. My Pharr RTS stock also gave me the benefit of it being lighter than the factory wood stock so I could put even more weight into the barrel. I'll freely admit that it isn't nearly as pretty as those Anschutz factory wood stocks, though, even with the mirror silhouette animal stickers on it.
